RESOURCES: VISUAL RESOURCES LIBRARY

video equipment

Art and Art History books, periodicals and other media can be found in the Peter J. Shields Library. Information about the collection is available on the Humanities Social Science web page.

The Visual Resources Facility -- a department slide library and computer lab -- is located on the second floor of the Art Building (Art 203). It serves primarily as a teaching collection for department classes although visitors are welcome.
The slide collection contains over 200,000 35mm slides covering most periods and phases of Western and non-Western art and architecture. In addition, the Visual Resources Facility circulates audio-visual equipment and contains current periodicals, numerous art and art history reference materials, a video collection and MA Art History thesis.
