Natalie Zimmerman

Natalie Zimmerman’s video, audio, and photographic works address the physical and
psychological dynamics of the contemporary body in relation to social, cultural and
institutional structures. Her work has been featured internationally at screenings and
exhibitions including The Moscow International Film Festival, La Casa Encendida in
Madrid, Spain, UC Riverside’s Sweeney Gallery, and Los Angeles Contemporary
Exhibitions (LACE). Her recently completed film Islandspremiered at SF Camerawork
this January in an exhibition with Jenni Olsen (Joy of Life) and Jem Cohen (Chain). The
exhibition was featured in the 2007 Fall/Winter issue of Camerawork where Zimmerman
discusses her working process and it’s relationship to Los Angeles with filmmaker William
E. Jones. Zimmerman lives and works in Los Angeles.
